From lacrosse to swimming, wrestling to tennis — every team at Montclair High benefits when the athletic department is fully funded.
Beyond this campaign, we're building toward a refurbished weight room, scholarships, mental health programming, and more.
Retaining critical leadership, mentorship, and daily support for student-athletes across all programs.
Restoring transportation so teams can travel and compete — maintaining full season viability for every sport.
Preventing cancellation of 80 games due to a shortage of officials, protecting opportunities to compete and develop.
Maintaining adequate security staffing to ensure safe, positive experiences for athletes and spectators alike.
Restoring all freshman programs — impacting hundreds of athletes and stabilizing the pipeline for future program success.

Montclair's athletic department faces a $176,000 budget gap that directly impacts teams and athletes today. The Montclair Athletics Blue & White Club — a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit — was founded to take on exactly this kind of challenge, bringing parents, alumni, local businesses, and community members together to protect and strengthen Mountie athletics.
We have the district's support, the Athletic Director's backing, and a community that shows up. Now we need to show up financially — before June 1st.
Support Mountie AthleticsThe Montclair Athletics Blue & White Club is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit umbrella organization dedicated to supporting all Montclair High School athletics — from the field to the weight room, freshman year through senior season.
Montclair Athletics Blue & White Club Inc is a newly formed 501(c)(3) nonprofit umbrella organization created to support all MHS Athletics. We centrally fund shared needs, scale corporate and community giving, and strengthen equity across teams.
We are designed to support and strengthen existing team booster clubs — not replace them. Individual teams continue to operate independently while benefiting from shared collaboration, resources, and advocacy.
In partnership with the district, Athletic Director Matthew Belford, coaches, families, and the broader community, we are committed to ensuring every student athlete has the opportunity to thrive on and off the field.
"The mission of the Montclair Athletics Blue & White Club is to enhance and support the athletic experience for all Montclair student athletes. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we place athletes first by advocating for equitable opportunities, strengthening resources, and funding programs that promote growth, safety, competitive excellence, and Mountie Pride."
Raise $176,000 by June 1st to reinstate the athletic department budget — protecting coaches, transportation, officials, security, and all freshman sports.

A Commitment to Montclair Student-Athletes & the Community · Signed May 2026
WE, the Montclair Athletics Blue & White Club, Inc., in partnership with the Montclair High School Athletics Department — represented by Athletic Director Matthew Belford — do hereby make this Public Pledge to the students, families, and residents of Montclair, New Jersey.
The Pledges
Funds go directly to student-athletes. All money raised by the Blue & White Club will be used exclusively to address the $176,000 budget gap within the Montclair High School Athletics Department — covering coaches, transportation, equipment, facilities fees, sports medicine, officials, uniforms, and security.
Not one dollar will be diverted. The Athletics Department formally commits that every cent received from MABWC will be spent solely on direct athletic department expenses. No funds will be redirected outside the athletic budget without the express written approval of the MABWC Board of Directors.
We will be transparent. The Athletics Department will provide MABWC with a detailed accounting of how these funds are spent. MABWC will share that information publicly with the Montclair community. You will know where your money went.
We protect what matters. Our immediate goal — $176,000 by June 1, 2026 — exists to preserve freshman sports programs, ensure teams can compete, and restore the athletic department to a fully funded baseline. This is an urgent commitment to keep kids on the field right now.
This is just the beginning. Once this gap is closed, the Blue & White Club will pursue the broader vision that inspired our founding: a refurbished weight room, mental health programming, scholarships, and a stronger Mountie athletic program for every student, every team, every season.
